Suit Styles for Men

Double-Breasted Suits: Bold and Fashion-Forward

Sophisticated and Fashion-Forward: Double-breasted suit has long been associated with a sense of power. It’s unique, more structured look sets it apart from the moe common single-breasted.

Definition and Structure: The wider overlap and double row of buttons give the suit a structure boxy shape which adds definition to the torso and shoulders. For grooms who want to accentuate their upper body or create a more imposing silhouette.

Best for Formal Weddings: Double-breasted Suits are inherently more formal due to their structured design. They are ideal for Black-tie weddings.

Perfect for Taller, Slimmer Builds: They tend to work best for taller, slimmer grooms, as the overlapping fabric can create a broader appearance.

Single-Breasted Suits: Timeless and Versatile

Classic and Elegant: Single-breasted suits have a timeless appeal and are considered the more versatile option, making them suitable for a wide range of wedding styles, from formal affairs to more laid-back celebrations.

Flattering for All Physique: With a tailored it, single-breasted jackets suit all body types, offering a sleek silhouette that can enhance your natural shape. This style elongates the torso making it especially flattering for shorter grooms.

Excellent for Both Formal and Casual Looks: Single-breasted Suits can easily be dressed up or down. For a formal black-tie event, pair your single-breasted jacket with a waistcoat and a bow tie. With tie or no tie for a more relaxed look.

Year-round Wear: Because they are generally less structured and lighter, they work well in all seasons.

Fabric and Material Choices: Seasonal Colours

The season of your wedding day influences fabric selection greatly when choosing the ideal wedding suit. Whether you're being married in the heat of summer or the freezing winter, the appropriate attire can guarantee that you look unique while remaining comfortable.

Take into account your personal style, the formality of the event, and the weather while choosing the fabric for your wedding suit. Lightweight wool offers a more formal option, but airy and breathable materials like cotton and linen are great for spring, summer weddings since they keep you cool. Use elegant textures, heavier fabrics rich in colours for winter weddings, such as velvet, tweed, or wool, to stay warm without compromising style.

What’s on Trend:

Wedding Suit Colours and Fabrics.

Wedding suit styles are embracing both traditional (classic) and daring selections - bold choices.

While jewel tones, like emerald, burgundy, and midnight blue, are becoming more and more popular for their opulent appeal at formal events, earthy tones, like olive, terracotta, and rust, are still in style, especially for outdoor or rustic weddings.

Pastel colours such as lavender, pink, and mint give a refreshing twist to spring and summer weddings for more contemporary couples.

Comfort and texture are becoming more popular in fabric selections. Lightweight wools give structure, making them suitable for every season. Summer weddings still love linen, but fall and winter events benefit from the rich textures and warmth of velvet and tweed.

Eco-friendly wool blends and organic cotton are examples of sustainable textiles that are growing in popularity.
